Grandma from George's Marvellous Medicine

I was learning to relate to the characters in the text.  

We have been reading George's Marvellous Medicine.  I thought of some words to describe Grandma from what I learnt about her in the story and then I used Tagul share all my ideas.

I found this easy because in the book the auther kept using adjectives to describe grandma.

My next step is to write a paragraph using all these words.

Identifying Different Types of Words

My Reflection

I was practicing to identify nouns.

I found this quite easy because our class has been focused on verbs, adjectives and nouns.  

My next step is to try finish quicker.

This will hopefully improve my writing.

Multiplication Strategies

I found these strategies easy to use because it was explained really clearly.  I felt the doubling and
halving & place value strategy were the easiest to use.  Next time I should try challenge myself by using harder numbers.

Leslie was very imaginative,brave,forthright and didn’t care what other people said.Leslie was always

helping other people especially Jesse She actually changed

Jesse into a hole different,better person.

She was really good at running because she was the fastest kid in 5th grade.

If it wasn’t for Leslie Jesse wouldn’t be as close to his family by watching Leslie and her family.

Leslie will be remembered for being friendly

Comparing Fractions

I was learning to compare fractions.
I found this easy because I already knew a bit about comparing fractions.
I enjoyed this strategy because it was helpful and fun at the same time.=D

My Dream House Art

           
                      
                             We went to Te Tuhi to make our dream house.
                             I made a Monkey house each room has a monkey besides two of them the RAINBOW room and the Nathan room... On the edge of the canvas there is a flying unicorn that takes you to the floating house. Each monkey has a name Monkey #1, Monkey #2, Monkey #3 and Monkey #4

Understanding a Character's Impact

This is our name art.

We used cool and warn colours to colour.

We used warm colours for the name and cool colours for the outside.

What we did is we drew a self-portrait of ourself and then went over in vivid and painted.

Comparing characters

I was learning to compare characters using a  Venn diagram. The two characters are Jesse and Leslie from bridge to terabithia. I thought it was easy to do this because we read all about them.

I was learning to write a simple recount in the right order. I forgot that I needed to use sequencing words so I need to try that next time. I think I did the recount in the right order.

Making and Breaking

 I was learning that numbers can be broken up in a number of different ways.
I found it easy because I knew that there were millions of ways.
Next I need to think of even harder ways to make and break.

Reflection

I found this a bit annoying because I didn't quite know what I was meant to be doing.

I didn't really enjoy writing this poem because I had trouble trying to think of ideas for it.
